MAC Jade Jagger Collection: A first look

I’m wearing makeup from the new MAC Jade Jagger collection, concerning select MAC counters December 14th.
If your name is Jade and you become a jewelry designer, it’s kind of like destiny telling you, “HA! Mitä minä sanoin!”

British jewelry designer Jade Jagger, daughter of Bianca and Mick Jagger, a.k.a. daughter of rock royalty, has a limited edition MAC collaboration launching December 14th, and you guys…IT’S GORGEOUS.

MAINOS

Everything in the collection is from the MAC Mineralize family.
MAC Mineralize eyeshadows, face powder, blushes and lipsticks

There are three Mineralize rich Lipsticks ($25 each), two Mineralize Eye shadow X 4 quads ($46 each), a Mineralize Skinfinish powder ($33) and two Mineralize Blushes ($28 each), all with something called “Multi-Mineral Complex,” which is MAC-speak for “something that adds color to the face without looking heavy or powdery.”

Wearing the Burning nights quad and Mineralize Skinfinish in Satin Shimmer (as a crease color) on my eyes. I’m also wearing ideal Bronze blush on my cheeks and Sunset Pearl Lipsticks on my lips.

This is my first hands-on look at the collection. If you have any questions about it, let me know in the comments. I’ll do my best to help.

Some thoughts…

The satin finish Mineralize Eye shadows are kind to fine lines. I’m shocked (in a good way) by how easily the shadows in the quad with teal Burning nights blend and by how little fallout there is.
Actually, I don’t see any fallout, now that I think about it!

The shadows are a lot like shadows in the Chanel baked eyeshadow quads. They’re moderately pigmented, but not incredibly pigmented. It’s just best for me because you can make a lot of application mistakes with them and don’t have to be ideal or perfectly precise.

I’m having a parched pout/bad lip day today, but you probably can’t tell by these pics, thanks to the Sunset Pearl Lipstick I’m wearing.
It’s just SO creamy and moisturizing. It feels like the hourglass girl Lip Stylos to me, which are also wonderful, BTW.

PYÖRTYÄ! Mineralize Skinfinish in Satin Shimmer is a rich, buttery golden brown mixed with a softly gleaming golden pearl. The brown doubles (triples?) as an eyeshadow, which is how I’m wearing it in this picture in my crease, and a bronzer.

I’ve only tried one of the two blushes. Glowing, lightweight-looking ideal Bronze is a rose mixed with brown, and it doesn’t look apparent or heavy.
For another hourglass comparison, I think these look a lot like the Ambient Strobe Blushes on the cheeks.

Fab finishes, friendly formulas and haute colors

Hello, Chanel and Hourglass! This is a luxe-inspired release that reminds me of those high-end brands. I’m loving the finishes and the colors and the way everything perfectly sits on my skin.

The pieces are easy to blend and ought to play well with mature skin, too.

They’re concerning select MAC locations (so check your nearby counter) and the MAC site starting December 14th.
